Dr-Roy Eady

 

Roy is a multi-talented scientist with specialist pharma consulting competencies.

After qualifying with a first degree in Physiology & Chemistry from the University of London 1968 and a PhD London (Physiology) from Bedford College, University of London in 1972, (Membrane Proteins from Human Erythrocytes as Possible ‘Carriers’ for the Hexose Transport System), Roy has built extensive, top-level, leadership and management experience of the Drug Discovery (Fisons Pharmaceuticals) and Drug Development (Astra & AstraZeneca) process.  Latterly he has been involved to business development related to private and public funded companies. His range of leadership covers the following:

  • Leadership and management of a variety of successful departments with up 150 staff (Biology, Project Management, Portfolio Management, Regulatory affairs and Clinical)
  • Project leadership and management, which resulted in the successful nomination of several candidate drugs and development of two NCEs.
  • Trained as a Immunologist and Physiologist with specialist knowledge of new approaches to the treatment of immunological, inflammatory and transplantation related disorders
  • Leadership of a number of global of change management processes including Global Project Team organisation, Project and Portfolio Management
  • As Chairman of the steering committee of a publicly funded organisation led the establishment of a not-for profit company
  • Skill in team building at the most senior management level (large Pharma, publicly funded companies and small biotech companies)

 Roy is married with two grown up children, and is a committed hill walker and loves to ski
